As a dedicated community leader, advocate for positive change, and with a commitment to fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and compassionate community, I bring a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to the political landscape.

As 14-year resident of Rochester, I have developed a very strong connection to the city and its residents. I have been actively involved in various community organizations and am dedicated to working to address local issues and enhance the quality of life for all residents. My vision for Ward 6 revolves around ensuring equitable access to city resources and housing for all citizens, promoting development that benefits current and future generations, and working towards making Rochester the compassionate city that it claims to be.

Rochester is a rapidly growing city with incredible potential, and I am committed to working collaboratively with residents of Ward 6, businesses, and the entire Rochester community to build a brighter future for all. Together we can address the challenges facing Rochester and help to ensure that it is a fabulous place to live for all people.

My candidacy embodies a commitment to servant leadership and a dedication to making a meaningful difference in the lives of Rochester's residents. With a proven track record of collaboration, working with diverse groups of people, and effective problem-solving, I am poised to be a strong voice for Ward 6 on the Rochester City Council.
  • Ensuring equitable access to city resources and housing for all residents.
  • Promoting development that will benefit current and future generations, including human infrastucture.
  • Offering a collaborative approach to serving on the City Council.
Housing, transportation, infrastructure, and environmental
The primary responsibility for a member of the City Council is to represent the citizens in their elected Ward with integrity. This means listening to members of the community with compassion to address both their hopes and concerns for the City and the Ward. It means making decisions with equity in mind ensuring that all citizens have a voice while making decisions. It means acting collaboratively with other decision-makers, city staff, business owners, and citizens to come to a consensus to do what is in the best interest of others. This all means that a personal agenda might have to be placed on the back burner at times.
When I started school I had a horrible stutter and underwent speech therapy for many years before it was resolved (although it still manifests when I am tired or under a great deal of stress).
Faith in Minnesota, Brooke Carlson (current Rochester City Council President)
