Dan Duffy
Dan Duffy is a former Republican member of the Illinois State Senate, representing District 26 from 2008 to April 3, 2016. He resigned to become the President and CEO of Prevent Child Abuse America.[1] He did not run for re-election to the Illinois State Senate in 2016.
Biography
Duffy earned his Bachelor's in Speech Communications from Augustana College. His professional experience includes owning a computer consulting business.

The candidate filing deadline was November 30, 2015.[3] Dan McConchie (R) was appointed to the seat on April 20, 2016, after Dan Duffy (R) resigned.
Incumbent Dan McConchie defeated Kelly Mazeski in the Illinois State Senate District 26 general election.[4][5]

Duffy won re-election in the 2012 election for Illinois State Senate District 26. Duffy was unopposed in the Republican primary on March 20, 2012, and defeated Democrat Amanda Howland in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[8][9][10]

Illinois Opportunity Project
The Illinois Opportunity Project, "an independent research and public policy enterprise that promotes legislative solutions in advance of free markets and free minds," annually releases its Legislative Vote Card, grading all members in both chambers of the Illinois General Assembly on the basis of their support of "pro-growth economic policies that increase personal freedom and reign in expansive government."[14][15]

Duffy received a score of 100.00 out of 100 in 2012 for a grade of A+ according to the IOP’s grading scale. His score was tied for the highest among all 59 members of the Illinois State Senate included in the Vote Card.[15]
