Biography
Lynch's professional experience includes work in technology marketing in the field of online genealogy. He has worked for Ancestry.com as vice president of business development, and also founded the private consulting business Mattatuck Consulting, LLC. He authored and co-published a book about online genealogy and has traveled to Australia, Europe, and throughout North America to present at technology and genealogy conferences.
Lynch has been a member of the Waterbury Hall of Fame Committee, an Economic Development Commissioner for the Town of Trumbull, a member of the Board of Governors and vice president for the Connecticut Society of Genealogists, and a board member of the Trumbull Tech Foundation. Issues
Lynch's campaign website highlighted the following themes:[2]
“ | 1) As an unaffiliated voter, I am not beholden to any party leadership, pressuring or directing how I should vote on an issue brought before the Senate for a vote;
2) As a candidate who has not accepted a single cent in financial contributions, I will not feel the slightest bit of influence to donors . . . because there simply won't be any. Yes, that certainly makes my job of campaigning to win this Senate seat that much harder, but I think you deserve that peace of mind; 3) The voice I bring to Hartford as your State Senator will be yours. Yours, as well as your families, friends and neighbors living throughout the district![3] |
