A vote to recall Dan Morrill from his position on the Creighton Public Schools Board of Education in Nebraska was held August 18, 2015.[1][2] Morrill was retained and the recall was defeated.
Recall supporters led by Jody Fuchtman alleged Morrill failed to respond to community concerns and work for the best interest of district students. They also argued that he failed to properly evaluate the district's superintendent. Morrill defended himself, arguing he had been an advocate for students' education as well as community communication and input.[3]

Arguments for recall
Fuchtman submitted the following reasons for recall, which were included on petition forms, stating that Morrill:
“ | Has failed to communicate and respond to the community; to act in a fair and impartial manner based on what is in the best interest of the students and district; surrendered his independent judgment to special interest; failed to evaluate the effectiveness of the superintendent on an ongoing basis; allowed the inequitable treatment of board members by an outside source.[4] | ” |
