Dan Muhlbauer
Dan Muhlbauer (Democratic Party) was a member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing District 12. Muhlbauer assumed office on January 1, 2013. Muhlbauer left office on January 1, 2015.
Muhlbauer served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1983 to 1993. He was a Crawford County Supervisor from 2004 to 2009.

Elections for the Iowa House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 14, 2014. Incumbent Dan Muhlbauer was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Brian Best was unopposed in the Republican primary. Muhlbauer faced Best in the general election.[1][2][3] Challenger Best defeated incumbent Muhlbauer in the general election.[4]

Muhlbauer ran in the 2012 election for Iowa House of Representatives District 12. Muhlbauer ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on June 5, 2012, and defeated Barney Bornhoft in the general election on November 6, 2012.[5][6]
2010
Muhlbauer won election to the Iowa House of Representatives, defeating Daniel D. Dirkx (R) in the November 2 general election.[7]
Muhlbauer was nominated for the 51st House district seat July 19th in a special convention. The convention was called because Democrat Larry Lesle dropped out of the race before the primary.[8]

Muhlbauer and his wife, Patti, have three children. He has served on the boards of a number of community organizations, including the Crawford Co. Development Corporation, Youth Emergency Services in Cherokee, Iowa and West Central Community Action in the town of Harlan.
