Daniel Poling
Daniel Poling (b. October 3, 1954) is a former Democratic member of the West Virginia House of Delegates, representing District 10 from 2006 to 2014.
Biography
Poling received his education at Parkersburg South High School. Poling has experience a business representative and also served as a magistrate in Hardy County.[1][2]

Elections
2014
Elections for the West Virginia House of Delegates took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 13, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 25, 2014. District 10 is represented by three delegates. Incumbent Dan Poling and Paul Miller were unopposed in the Democratic primary. Mike Azinger, Frank Deem and John R. Kelly defeated Vernon Criss, Debra Steed and Courtney Ahlborn in the Republican primary. Azinger, Deem, and Kelly defeated Miller, Poling, and Stansberry in the general election.[3][4]
2012
Poling ran for re-election in the 2012 election for West Virginia House of Delegates, District 10. Poling ran unopposed in the May 8 primary election and was challenged by Tom Azinger, John N. Ellem, and Frederick Gillespie in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[5][6][7]
2010
Poling was re-elected to the West Virginia House of Delegates District 10. He was elected to one of the three District 10 Delegate positions on the ballot in the November 2, 2010, general election. His opponents were Republican incumbents Thomas Azinger and John Ellem and Republican Frederick David Gillespie. The three top vote-getters were elected.[8][9]

2008
In 2008, Poling was re-elected to the West Virginia House District 10. Poling (D) finished with 10,086 votes. He was behind Tom Azinger (R) with 11,067 votes and John Ellem (R) with 11,003 votes. Poling finished ahead of Brenda Brum (D) with 10,077 votes, Frederick Gillespie (R) with 9,040 votes and Iris McCrady (D) with 6,389 votes.[10] Poling raised $64,110 for his campaign fund.[11]
