Dan Seckinger was a Republican District 2 representative on the Gwinnett County Board of Education in Georgia. He was first elected to the board in 1994. Seckinger defeated challengers Leon T. Hobbs and Ileana S. McCaigue in the primary election on May 20, 2014. He won the general election unopposed on November 4, 2014. Seckinger did not run for re-election in 2018.

Seckinger earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Eastern Michigan University. At the time of his tenure, Seckinger owned a construction business. Seckinger and his wife have six children and five grandchildren.[1]
