Dan Severson, Top Gun for Congress

Pro-Life, Pro-Veteran and Pro-TRUMP, Dan Severson a warrior statesman is your Republican candidate for US Congress in Florida Congressional District 19, serving Lee and Collier Counties. While retaining his Florida residency for 22 years serving in the U.S. Navy, Dan received his Officer's Commission and Aviator designation in 1980. Dan's training included the prestigious U.S. Naval Fighter Weapons School, making Dan a Top Gun Fighter pilot who flew A-7's and the FA-18 Supersonic Strike-Fighter jet. After a military career of leadership and 320 carrier flight landings, retired Navy Commander Dan Severson was elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in 2002. He served 8 years as State Representative, 4 years in executive positions and 2 as Minority Whip where he held back a $3.2 Billion dollar tax increase in a minority position. Dan and his wife of 44 years, Cathy Jo, returned to Florida and settled in Cape Coral in 2015. Experience, Leadership, and Vision are the hallmarks of Dan's life of service to Country and Community. A man of deep faith and personal integrity, Dan is a true Patriot. Pro-Life, Pro-Veteran and Pro-TRUMP... Dan "Doc" Severson: Top Gun for Congress.

  • Dan Severson will keep you safe by prioritizing national defense, and he'll fight against the liberal left to support and defend the Constitution, including against domestic enemies like ANTIFA and other radical Marxists.
  • Dan Severson will help Trump to build the wall to stop illegal immigration. He will support small businesses, fight for veterans, vote to lower taxes and help to clean up SW Florida's coastal waters.
  • Dan Severson is the definitive, conservative Christian, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-Trump, pro-law enforcement, candidate running for U.S. Congress in Southwest Florida.
We must protect the 2 nd amendment,

without exceptions. We must have law and order in this country and help those who put their lives on
the line to protect and serve. We have to secure our borders. We need to put God back into schools and
continually support Biblical values and principles. We need to clean up Florida's waterways and hold
those accountable who cause environmental problems. As I have before, I will fight for our country to

maintain your safety and security!
There are many leaders I have worked for and observed. Each has a talent pool with good and bad styles to learn from. The only one I trust is the Lord Jesus. He gave all to give us the opportunity to be completed by the Father who intended to have a personal relationship with us, not a concept. He has given us all the tools we need to succeed, we just need to figure out what that success looks like and how to use those tools. Men can be roll models but will ultimately fail in some capacity. Jesus is a friend that is always there and will never leave in tough times or good times, He is a Friend and one whom I aspire to emulate.
Represent the districts interests, care for the constituency and protect the Constitution.
That I served the people well.
President Kennedy's assassination. I was 7 or 8 and heard about it at school and came home to tell my mom. She was very upset and had heard about it before I told her. It impacted me that something that big could have such an impact in a nuclear family atmosphere.
I worked in a monument factory doing odd jobs and setting monuments. I worked there from 14 to 17 years old. Minimum wage and no long term future. It was what motivated me to go to college and look for a greater destiny.
Bible, it is the road map for life.
Superman. He flies a lot and can lift big things.
It is meant to be gathering of ideas and discourse. A place where ideals and character matter and a mans word is a bond. Power is not worshiped but rather held in check by sacrifice and selflessness. Those are the ideals and worthy of aspiring to. I has been given the trust and authority of the people by their consent.

It is subject to constant review by a responsible media who are supposed to report on its happenings in an unbiased manner. Failure of any of these attributes undermines the institution.

Voting in proxy as Nancy Pelosi has done undermines our republic and sets in motion the mistrust and ire of a nation that demands justice. That is just one recent facet of the injustices perpetrated on the American people by this Congress. It must stop.
Yes, to the extent that one understands the system and its strengths and weaknesses. These give the representative the ability to be effective on issues quickly rather than having to understand the workings while implementing policy.
Maintaining a culture that recognizes individual liberty and personal responsibility. A society that rewards hard work and offers opportunity to everyone regardless of appearance or origin. We have become the greatest nation on earth because we allow the human imagination to develop and reward initiative. Our education system has become the purveyor of these false ideals and must be reformed or abolished. The greatest threat as is Socialism and Communism which reward nothing but conformity. . Initiative and ingenuity are discouraged and mediocrity is the norm. The intellectual elite seek to enslave through programming and propaganda that creates victims rather than over comers. Creating competition in education with vouchers and charter schools is a start. Abolishing Tenure in our universities and moving to on line learning that rewards achievement rather than conformity is essential in reforming institutions that give nothing but debt and empty promises of meaningful careers.
China is the largest national security threat. It must be dealt with aggressively in the next few years to even trade disparities and confine the bold aggression that is part of their 100 year plan. Militarily and economically, we must press the initiative to stay ahead and out perform their agenda or face the reality that we will loose our freedoms just like Hong Kong.
yes, it makes it service to the constituents more responsive.
I support them. There needs to be significant campaign finance reform.
