Dan Shaw (Nevada)
Dan Shaw was a member of the Henderson City Council in Nevada, representing Ward II. He assumed office on June 20, 2017. He left office on January 7, 2025.
Shaw ran for re-election to the Henderson City Council to represent Ward II in Nevada. He lost in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Shaw was initially appointed to the council to fill the vacancy created by the election of Debra March as mayor.[1]
Biography
Shaw studied recreation management at Brigham Young University and secondary money markets at the American Banking Institute. At the time of his appointment to the city council, he was the president and CEO of Rustler Investments.[2]
Shaw served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1974. He has also served as the president of the Nevada State International Council of Shopping Centers, a member of the board of the Nevada Apartment Association, and the chair of the Clark County Planning Commission, the Henderson Planning Commission, the Henderson Parks and Recreation Board, and the Regional Boy Scouts of America.[2]
