Dana Glasstein is an educator at Waukesha County Technical College where she teaches English as a Second Language, and one of her priorities is maintaining a strong public education system. As a concerned citizen, she was a petitioner in the lawsuit that ended the extreme partisan gerrymander in Wisconsin, and as Assembly Representative, she will fight to protect access to reproductive healthcare for the women of Wisconsin. She is a military wife and mother who believes in upholding our democratic principles and fair representation for all Wisconsinites.
  • Like the residents of this community, I care deeply about the issues that affect us all, like protecting reproductive rights, access to healthcare, strong schools for our children, and upholding our democracy. For too long, our representatives in Madison have not listened to our needs, and have instead pursued legislation that does not support our shared values and individual rights. Now is the time for all of us to be heard, and as an Assembly Representative, I will be that voice.
  • We must restore transparency to our state government, and ensure that all residents are heard. For the past 13 years, issues that are supported by a large majority of Wisconsinites have been ignored by the Republican legislature. But with fair maps, we now have a chance to enact new legislation that reflects the will of the voters.
  • As an educator in the Wisconsin Technical College System, everyday I see how access to innovative higher education and skills training positively affects the lives of my students, while supporting the ever-changing needs of our state economy. We must act to ensure that affordable, high quality education is available to all Wisconsinites.
Education, healthcare, and workers' rights are important to me.
In 6th grade I delivered newspapers on foot with my wagon in the early morning hours before school- rain, snow, or shine. I had the job for about 6 months until I began falling asleep in school and knew that I couldn't maintain the schedule.
Some of our greatest challenges include affordability / cost of living, aging infrastructure, education funding, the codification of women’s reproductive freedoms, and affordable healthcare.
It is important that state legislators come from a variety of backgrounds and work experiences so that they are true representatives of the people of Wisconsin.
