Pfeil ran for election to the Calaveras County Superior Court.
Primary: She was successful in the primary on June 3, 2014, receiving 29.3 percent of the vote. She competed against Grant Barrett and Kenneth M. Foley.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 46.8 percent of the vote. She competed against Grant Barrett.

Pfeil earned her B.B.A. from Fresno State University and her J.D. from San Joaquin College of Law.[3]
Career
Pfeil is a prosecutor at the District Attorney's Office for Calaveras County, California. She has also worked in the Public Defender's Office and as a civil attorney.[3]
