Dana Nichols is a judge of the Weld County Court in Colorado. She assumed office in 2007.

Nichols was appointed to the court in 2007 by Governor Bill Ritter and was later retained by voters in 2014.[1][2]

Nichols was retained to the Weld County Court, Colorado with 65.2 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [3]

Nichols was retained in 2010 with 61.06 percent of the vote.[4]

Education

Nichols earned her undergraduate degree from Colorado State University and her J.D. from the University of Colorado.[5]

Career

Prior to her judicial appointment in 2007, Nichols served for nearly 10 years as a deputy public defender in Greeley, Pueblo, Colorado Springs and the Colorado State Appellate offices. She also worked in private practice for three years with the law firm of Kennedy & Christopher, P.C.[5]
