Dane Eagle
Dane Eagle was the Florida Secretary of the Department of Commerce. He assumed office on September 14, 2020. He left office on December 30, 2022.
Eagle (Republican Party) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent Florida's 19th Congressional District. He lost in the Republican primary on August 18, 2020.
Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) appointed Eagle Florida Secretary of Economic Opportunity on September 2, 2020. He assumed office on September 14 of the same year.[1] Eagle resigned on December 30, 2022.[2]
Eagle (Republican Party) is a former member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 77 from 2012 to 2020. He assumed office on November 20, 2012. He resigned on September 11, 2020, to begin his term as executive director of Florida's Department of Economic Opportunity.[1][3]
Biography
Eagle earned his bachelor's degree in economics with minors in business administration and pre-medicine from the University of Florida in 2005.[3]

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) appointed Eagle as executive director on September 2, 2020. He assumed office on September 14 of the same year.[1] Eagle succeeded Ken Lawson, who resigned effective August 31, 2020.[4] Eagle resigned on December 30, 2022.[2]

Incumbent Dane Eagle defeated Terry Cramer, Brandon Ivey and Jim Roach in the Republican primary and defeated Jeremy A. Wood (I) in the general election.[9][10]
