Campaign themes

2017

Krause's campaign website highlighted the following issues:

Taxes and Roads

  • We must face the fact that our state spends our taxes like it’s going out of style. Our roads are the most expensive strips of asphalt in the nation by double the second place state. The Assembly ‘Fixed this by raising the Gas Tax; a ‘Solution’ which will stop working in 10 years time!
  • Taxes are money we have taken from our families to pay for things which benefit us all, it’s time Trenton treated that blood-money with some respect.

A dysfunctional Assembly

  • The New Jersey assembly has become the laughing stock of our entire nation. If real and lasting change is not made soon, New Jersey will end up like Illinois.
  • Can you imagine our State being broke? Can you imagine our schools and State Services shutdown because we cannot afford to pay the bills?
  • How many more examples of corruption and wasteful spending can we bear?
  • Our Children cannot afford yet more BS Bureaucracy.

Compansionate change is needed

  • We have a prision problem in New Jersey: Everything under the sun has become illegal and our incarceration rates show that. Our Assembly seems to think that prison is the beset place for our citizens.
  • Unless we want to continue to dystroy poor and impoverished familes, we must reform the laws.[2]
