Daniel Barrett McNerney was a judge for the Superior Court of Orange County in California. He was first elected to the bench on November 7, 2000, to a term commencing on January 8, 2001.[1]

Education

McNerney received a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University in 1975 and a J.D. cum laude from Western State University in 1986. McNerney also attended Magdalen College at Oxford University.[1]

Career

Prior to becoming a judge for the Superior Court of Orange County, McNerney worked as a deputy district attorney in Orange County for fifteen years. He was also a special assistant United States attorney for the Central District of California for four years. McNerney worked as an assistant professor at the University of Southern California College of Law for one year, from 1986-1987.[1]

2012 election

McNerney ran for re-election to the superior court in 2012. As an unopposed incumbent, his name did not appear on the ballot. After the primary election, McNerney was automatically re-elected.[2]
