Daniel Bissett

Daniel Bissett is the judge for Branch 6 of the Winnebago County Circuit Court in Wisconsin. He was first elected to the court in April 2011.[1] Bissett won re-election without opposition in the general election on April 4, 2017.
Biography
Bissett earned his J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law in 1992.[2] He was an attorney in private practice before becoming a court commissioner for Winnebago County. In the 12 years that Bissett served as court commissioner, he presided over criminal, juvenile, family, and civil cases. He was elected to his judgeship in 2011. Bissett was admitted to the State Bar of Wisconsin in 1992.[3]

Elections
2017
Wisconsin held local judicial elections in 2017. Forty-eight circuit court seats were up for election on April 4, 2017. Three seats required primaries on February 21, 2017, with the top two vote recipients for each seat advancing to the April 4 general election. Thirty-seven seats up for election in 2017 were unopposed.[4] Incumbent Daniel Bissett ran unopposed in the general election for the Branch 6 seat on the Winnebago County Circuit Court.

Bissett ran for election to the Winnebago County Circuit Court on April 5, 2011. He won 45.9 percent of the vote in the primary, advancing him to the general election. He defeated Edmund J. Jelinski in the general election, winning 57 percent of the vote.[1][5][3][6]
