Daniel Botelho
Daniel Botelho was a 2012 independent candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 9th Congressional District of Massachusetts.
Botelho was defeated by Democratic incumbent William Keating on November 6, 2012.[1]
Biography
Botelho earned his undergraduate degree in Finance and Economics from UMass Dartmouth. As a senior, he landed an internship with Putnam Investments. He works as a financial reporting analyst, where he tracks and reports on funds that are heavily traded in derivatives.[2]

Botelho ran for the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Massachusetts' 9th District. Botelho ran as the Independent candidate. In the November general elections, he faced the winner of the Democratic primary, William Keating, and the winner of the Republican primary, Christopher Sheldon.
