Daniel G. Castricone was a 2013 candidate for the Supreme Court 9th Judicial District in New York. The 9th District has jurisdiction over the counties of Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester.[1] Castricone serves as an Orange County legislator for District 8.[2]

2013 election

Castricone ran for election to the Supreme Court 9th Judicial District. General: He was defeated in the general election on November 5, 2013, after receiving 7.2 percent of the vote. The candidates below were also on the ballot, competing for five open seats.

Education

Castricone received his B.A. in economics from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1987 and his J.D. from Pace University School of Law in 1999.[2][5][6]

Career

Castricone became a member of the Orange County Legislature, representing District 8, in 2010. He is also the owner of Castricone Enterprises, an Allstate Insurance agency which he founded in 1988. He spent four years on the Tuxedo Town Council, one year as a Tuxedo Deputy Supervisor and four years on the Tuxedo Zoning Board of Appeals.[2][5]
