Crowe's campaign website stated that his campaign themes are "justice, unity, sunshine, [and] tolerance." It also criticizes Rosenblum as a career politician, citing several instances in which he believes Rosenblum put politics before the duty of upholding the law—most notably Rosenblum's refusal to uphold Oregon's constitutional ban on same-sex marriage and her refusal to prosecute former Governor John Kitzhaber amid allegations of ethics violations.[4][5] Crowe's campaign contacted Ballotpedia in May 2016 to clarify that he was "in favor [of gender equality], as it is the law of the land, but he objected to the incumbent’s refusal to defend her client (Oregon) in court."[6]
Daniel Crowe ran unopposed in the Republican primary for attorney general.
