|I graduated from Caldwell High School and earned my degree from Pittsburg State University. I moved to Olathe in 1990. Both of his daughters attended Olathe public schools, and his son will be a freshman at Spring Hill High School in the fall.
I worked for the State of Kansas as an administrator in aging services for 18 years and served as the Director of Johnson County Area Agency on Aging for 13 years. I currently serve as the Executive Director of Kansas Advocates for Better Care, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of long-term care for older Kansans. I also worked as a football coach at Shawnee Mission North High School for eight seasons and have coached many youth football and soccer teams in the Shawnee Mission, Olathe and Spring Hill school districts.
I am the former President of the Kansas Association of Area Agencies on Aging and Disabilities (K4ad). I currently serve on the Johnson County Commission on Aging.- I support fully funding our public schools. Spending public tax dollars on public schools. Increasing incentives to attract and retain new and existing teachers.
- Preservation of a woman’s right to make her own healthcare decisions. In August 2022, Johnson County voters overwhelming supported a woman’s right to make her own healthcare decisions. Some Kansas Legislators still didn’t hear the voter’s voice. I am committed to upholding a woman’s right to choose.
- I am committed to bipartisanship. I believe fostering collaboration and building trust across parties creates comprehensive, sustainable polices. Bipartisanship promotes stability, innovation, and reduces polarization. It strengthens democracy through shared goals, compromise, and enhanced accountability.
