Daniel Kanahele
Daniel Kanahele ran for election to the Hawaii House of Representatives to represent District 11. Kanahele lost in the Nonpartisan primary on August 11, 2018.
To advance to the general election, Hawaii election law requires nonpartisan candidates in partisan races to receive at least 10% of the votes cast for the office or to receive a vote total equal to or greater than the lowest vote total of a winning partisan candidate. Kanahele did not meet that threshold.[1][2]
