What would be your top three priorities, if elected?

1) Pro-Life Legislation

2) Constitutional Rights including the 2nd Amendment
3) Religious Liberties including the Pastors Protection Act[2][3]

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about? Why?

Daniel Kroger is a conservative republican constitutionalist that holds pro life values and will protect the constitutional freedoms that this country was founded upon.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many[3]

Ballotpedia also asked the candidate a series of optional questions. Daniel Kroger answered the following:

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

Daniel Kroger first and foremost follows the life of Christ and does his best to live in a way pleasing to him. Politically, Daniel highly esteems Ronald Reagan. Reagan was a man that led with conviction, moral values and strength.[3]
Is there a book, essay, film, or something else you would recommend to someone who wants to understand your political philosophy?
Daniel believes the Bible is the roadmap to life. Our founding fathers were Christians, ministers and men who revered the Bible as the Holy infalible word of God. Daniel will vote in Columbus upon Biblical principals and his strong moral values.[3]
What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
Honesty, transparency and integrity are qualities that every politician should consistentlypractice without fail. Politicians are representatives of their districts and should be accountable to those they are representing.[3]
What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?
Daniel Kroger has a heart and ability to selflessly serve all those around him. Daniel serves as a Pastor to his congregation, a founding board member to the City of Refuge Childrens home, an RN to his patients and a father and a husband to his family.[3]
What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?
Daniel Kroger believes that a representative should work for the people in his district representing them and protecting them and ensuring they have opportunity to live a life with certain unalienable rights.[3]
What legacy would you like to leave?
At the end of my days I dont care if people remember me as an office holder, a representative or pastor. I want to be remembered as man that followed God, loved his family and served his fellow man.[3]
What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?
Daniel remembers earlier events but 9/11 was a turning point in his mind. On Oct 27, 1964 Reagan said "If we lose freedom here, there is no place to escape to. This is the last stand on Earth." Daniel believes that America is the greatest nation on earth and joins his fellow Americans to go to any length to protect her from tyranny.[3]
What was your very first job? How long did you have it?
Daniel bailed hay for many Warren County farmers all through Junior High and High School. Daniel credit the blessing of this early job two fold. He learned work ethic and responsibility as well as gained wisdom from older farmers that only years and life experience can offer.[3]
What happened on your most awkward date?
My wife and I have been married for almost a decade and a half and we have four beautiful children. We met as high school sweethearts and have had a happily ever after relationship ever since. Im not sure about any awkward dates but many find it comicale that Hannah's maiden name was Myers and our last name now is Kroger. My father in law tells a joke- "What happens when Kroger and Meijer come togethor? They have Cubs."[3]
What is your favorite holiday? Why?
Easter. The reurrection of Christ is at the epicenter of every Christians life.[3]
What is your favorite book? Why?
The Bible. It is the roadmap of life.[3]
If you could be any fictional character, who would you want to be?
My life is better than I deserve and more enjoyable enough without pretending to be someone else.[3]
What is your favorite thing in your home or apartment? Why?
Pictures of my family are very dear to me. There is nothing more precious in ths world to me than my family and the memories we have created.[3]
What was the last song that got stuck in your head?
Amazing Grace[3]
(For non-Nebraska candidates) What do you consider the most important differences between the legislative chambers in your state?
The Representatives oftentimes take orders from the House Speaker instead of voting the way their constituents sent them to vote.[3]
Do you believe that it's beneficial for state legislators to have previous experience in government or politics?
A Legislator needs to have a set of core beliefs and principals in place before running for public office. Situations and opportunities to serve self over country will take place. At those times it is important for a legislator to have conviction and do what is right.[3]
What do you perceive to be your state's greatest challenges over the next decade?
Pro Life vs Pro Choice Constitutionalism vs Infringed Rights Opioid Epidemic[3]
What do you believe is the ideal relationship between the governor and the state legislature?
Mutual cooperation and respect are good but accountability at all times is necessary.[3]
Do you believe it's beneficial to build relationships with other legislators? Please explain your answer.
It is more important for a representative to have a working relationship with his constituents and individuals that put he or she into office than his or her colleagues.[3]
What process do you favor for redistricting?
The current system is far better than the proposal in issue 1.[3]
If you are not a current legislator, are there certain committees that you would want to be a part of?
Community and Family Advancement The Health Committee Agriculture[3]
Is there a particular legislator, past or present, whom you want to model yourself after?
Paul Zeltwanger Ron Hood Nino Vitale Candice Keller Tom Brinkman Bill Dean[3]
Are you interested in running for a different political office (for example, the U.S. Congress or governor) in the future?
A wise person once said that people run for public office for two reasons. They either want to be someone or change something. I want to use my position to bring a positive change for my district. If you perform your duties to the best of your ability more opportunities will arise. If you seek position for the purpose of having a position you will fail.[3]
Both sitting legislators and candidates for office hear many personal stories from the residents of their district. Is there a story that you've heard that you found particularly touching, memorable, or impactful?
I have a friend that was addicted to Heroin and Cocaine and says that he has taken every type of drug that he's aware exists at some point in his life. Our world has left its mark on this man with tattoos on almost every sqyare inch of his body, some profanity, some gang signs ans who knows what else. One of our churches outreaches is to go into the prisons and tell the inmates the gospel. This gentelman took to Christ like a fish takes to water. God gloriously saved him. A short time after he was released from prison. That has been five or six years ago and the man has a family, a job and is a member of a good Bible believing church. The amazing piece is that he gives back by going back into prisons and the streets to help others break free from addictions and that lifestyle.[3]
