Collapse all
|- Fire Safety, up here in the Rockies we know the constant danger that fire presents yet we have directed federal money meant for local firefighters to a pool of money that is treated like a grab bag by other departments. I want to fix this poorly worded statue and direct the PILT money to our local Fire Departments that they deserve.
- Public Safety, there have been plenty of legitimate concerns expressed about the aggression and militarization of America's police. I want to see our police receive the training they need not focused on marksmanship but rather in deescalation and situational control.
- Financial safety, when I was in the Marines we had a situation where tens of thousands of dollars was being spent on auto repairs following Recruiters hitting deer. Several ideas were kicked around including dash cams and punishments. I suggest we buy some deer whistles for the cars and see if the number went down, by the next year we only had one accident involving a deer and had thousands to fund other projects. The Government is playing with our money and they need to treat it that way.
