Hey, I’m Daniel. After 30 years in Omaha, I know our Metro Transit needs a serious upgrade. A reliable and accessible system means better jobs, less traffic, and cleaner air. This isn't just about making life easier; it's about creating opportunities, improving our health, and building a thriving city for all of us. Let's invest in Omaha’s future – together.
  • It is well documented investment in public transportation creates jobs. Improved transit will attract businesses and investment by improving access to labor markets and reducing transportation costs. I will support transit-oriented policies that encourage dense, mixed-use development around transit stations, making it easier for people to live, work, and access amenities.
  • We must elevate Omaha to the standards of our peers. I will advocate for increased funding for public transportation projects, including infrastructure improvements, expansion of services, and new technologies.
  • Accessible and equitable public transportation is crucial, meaning affordable fares, comprehensive service, and accommodations for all, regardless of income, ability, or location. This includes creating a sustainable network that seamlessly connects buses, trains, and pedestrian/bike-friendly infrastructure.
Investing in public transportation improves air quality, reduces our reliance on cars, and fosters a more connected and vibrant community.
Ensuring that residents and visitors have access to safe, reliable, and efficient public transportation options.
I was a soccer referee. Did it for about 10 years.
Essentially, transparency and accountability strengthens democracy, ensuring that government operates in the public's best interest.
