Daniel Garodnick was a Democratic member of the New York City Council in the state of New York, representing District 4 from 2006 to 2017. He was not eligible to run for re-election in 2017 due to term limits.[1][2]

Garodnick obtained a B.A. in Government from Dartmouth College and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. His professional experience includes working as an attorney and as the Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review at the University of Pennsylvania School of Law.[2]
