Daniel R. Swafford was a judge for the Bradley County General Sessions Court in Bradley County, Tennessee. He also presided over the Bradley County Juvenile Court. He was based out of Cleveland, Tennessee. Swafford was elected to the court in 2006 and re-elected in 2014.[1][2][3] He left office on September 30, 2020.[4]

Swafford ran for re-election to the Bradley County General Sessions Court.
Primary: He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on May 6, 2014.
General: He won without opposition in the general election on August 7, 2014.[5][6][3]

Education

Swafford received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee and his J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina Law School in 1988.[1]

Military service

From 1978 to 1981, Swafford served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He then served in the Judge Advocate General's Corps in the U.S. Navy.[1]

Career

Swafford worked as an attorney in private practice and as an assistant district attorney for Bradley, Polk, and Hamilton counties prior to his judicial election in 2006.[1]
