Daniel Schally
Daniel Schally was a superior court judge for the First Judicial District in Juneau, Alaska. He was appointed to the Juneau Superior Court to fill a newly created position in November 2018 by former Governor Bill Walker (I)[1].
Prior to that, he was a district court judge for the Third Judicial District in Valdez, Alaska. He was initially appointed to that seat in January 2005 by Gov. Frank Murkowski (R) and was retained for a four-year term in 2012 and again on November 8, 2016.
In 2010, Schally applied for the spot on the Alaska Third District Superior Court that opened when Judge Stephanie E. Joannides retired in February of 2011, but he was not selected for the seat.[2]
Education
Judge Schally graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts. In 1997 he earned his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School.[3]

- 1998-2005: He worked as an Assistant District Attorney for the State of Alaska, Department of Law in Ketchikan, Alaska
- 1997-1998: He worked as a law clerk for Judge Donald D. Howood and the Alaska Court System in Kodiak, Alaska
- 1996: He worked as a prosecution intern for the City and Borough of Juneau Law Department[3]

Schally was retained with 63.90 percent of the vote on November 6th.[4][5]
