Daniel Segura is a judge of the Superior Court of San Diego County in California. He assumed office in 2021. His current term ends on January 6, 2031.

Segura won re-election for judge of the Superior Court of San Diego County in California outright in the primary on March 5, 2024, after the primary and general election were canceled.

Segura was appointed to the court on September 3, 2021 by Gavin Newsom (D). Although California Superior Court judges are elected in nonpartisan elections, a press release from Gov. Newsom's office announcing Segura's appointment on September 3, 2021, identified him as a Democrat.[1]

Biography

Segura received his J.D. from the California Western School of Law. From 1995 until his 2021 appointment to the Superior Court of San Diego County, he served as a Deputy Public Defender at the San Diego County Public Defender’s Office.[1]
