Daniel Shanes
Daniel Shanes is a judge of the Illinois 19th Circuit Court 3rd Subcircuit.
Shanes (Republican Party) ran for election for the 2nd District judge of the Illinois Supreme Court. He lost in the Republican primary on June 28, 2022.
Biography
Education
Shanes received his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa and his J.D. from DePaul University Law School.[1]
Career
Shanes served as an associate judge in Lake County from 2007 to 2011. He also worked as an assistant state's attorney in Lake County.[1]

Shanes was elected to the Nineteenth Circuit Court on November 6, 2012, defeating Jeffrey S. Braiman with 53.3 percent of the vote. He was unopposed in the Republican primary on March 20, 2012.[2][3]
