Daniel Zapata is a second generation Floridian and American, son of immigrants from Cuba who fled their home's in pursuit of a better life in the united states. He was born and raised in the same south Florida community he is now running to represent. Daniel has worked for years at the front lines of the fight to educate the next generation working at a school in the district. First as a substitute teacher, then as a distance learning classroom proctor, and currently as the assistant director of student affairs.

My first job was as a bag boy at a publix supermarket. I worked my way up to being a full time customer service staff, and I worked in that store for five years.
Absolutely! Legislators are often times more in tune with the will of their constituents seeing as they have to be elected on a more normal bases.
