Campaign website

Harper's campaign website stated the following:

Lancaster is a city with immense potential, but that potential is often sidelined by a lack of transparency and a "status quo" that doesn’t reach everyone. I am running to bridge the gap between City Hall and our neighborhoods.

Empowering Our Youth:

I will fight for expanded youth centers and early entrepreneurship programs so our kids have a future they can believe in right here in Lancaster.

Real Economic Opportunity: From my time in the aerospace industry to co-founding BLKNGLD, I’ve seen how nepotism and "who you know" can hold a city back. I am committed to opening financial doors for single-parent households and small business owners who are often left behind.

Transparency & Accountability: Having worked in the nonprofit sector advocating for fair wages and worker protections, I believe in systems that operate with dignity. I will bring transparency to city spending, ensuring our funds are actually solving the issues of crime and homelessness rather than just moving them around.

Cultural Vitality: As a cultural curator who has brought events like the Jubilee Night Market and Jazz at the Alley to the Antelope Valley, I know that a thriving city is one that celebrates its diversity. I will work to make Lancaster a hub for creative and cultural investment.

A Vision Rooted in Purpose:

I am a mother, a matriarch, and a strategist who has spent years ensuring marginalized voices are heard. I’m not just running for a seat; I’m running to build a city where opportunity is accessible, your voice matters, and our community can truly thrive.
