Parra's campaign website stated the following:

The Issues

Danielle is focused on the issues that matter most to the families and neighborhoods of District 5.

Infrastructure

Strong infrastructure is the foundation of a thriving community. Danielle Parra will prioritize repairing roads, sidewalks, and neighborhood infrastructure to ensure District 5 receives the investment it deserves.

Fixing Fresno's roads, sidewalks, and aging infrastructure is about more than appearance. It is about safety, economic growth, and quality of life for the families who live here. Danielle will work to prioritize long-overdue investments in Southeast Fresno, from repairing potholes and improving street lighting to modernizing water and public utility systems. Better infrastructure helps neighborhoods attract new housing, support small businesses, and create stronger, more connected communities. Danielle believes Fresno must invest in the basics first so families can live in neighborhoods they are proud to call home.

Public Safety

Every family deserves to feel safe in their neighborhood. Danielle Parra will work to strengthen public safety by supporting first responders and investing in community-based solutions.

Public safety is one of Danielle's top priorities. She will advocate for adequate police and fire staffing, ensure first responders have the tools they need to protect our neighborhoods, and support community policing strategies that build trust between residents and law enforcement. Danielle also believes Fresno must address the root causes of crime by investing in youth programs, mental health services, and community partnerships that keep neighborhoods safe. By taking a balanced and proactive approach, Fresno can build safer streets and stronger communities for everyone.

Jobs & Workforce

Danielle Parra believes Fresno should be a place where working families can build a strong future. She will champion policies that create good-paying jobs and expand workforce opportunities.

Growing Fresno's workforce means connecting people to real opportunities. Danielle has a proven record of supporting education and workforce development through her work representing Southeast Fresno at State Center Community College District. She will work to expand job training programs, strengthen partnerships with local colleges and employers, and ensure residents have access to careers in growing industries like healthcare, skilled trades, technology, and manufacturing. Danielle believes Fresno should invest in its people so families can build stable careers and long-term economic security.

Economic Development & Investment

Fresno's future depends on attracting new investment and creating opportunities for growth. Danielle Parra will work to bring new businesses and industries to District 5 and support the entrepreneurs already serving our community.

Danielle believes Southeast Fresno has tremendous potential. With the right leadership and strategic investment, Fresno can become a place where businesses want to locate, families want to move, and future generations choose to stay. She will focus on policies that encourage responsible growth, support small businesses, and attract new employers that create quality jobs. By building strong partnerships with the business community and investing in local neighborhoods, Danielle will work to ensure Fresno's growth benefits the people who already call this city home.
