Chambers ran for election to the Somervell County Court.
Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on November 4, 2014, receiving 26.9 percent of the vote. He competed against Mike Jones (Texas), Mickey Garrett, Jerry Lee and G. Darrell Best.
Runoff: Because no candidate received a majority of the vote, Chambers and Lee participated in a run-off election on May 27. Chambers won, earning 63.2 percent of the votes cast.
General: He won without opposition in the general election on November 4, 2014.
