Elections for the city council of Mesa, Arizona were scheduled to take place on November 4, 2014. A primary election took place on August 26, 2014. Because one candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote in the primary, the general election scheduled for November 4 was called off. John Giles defeated Danny Ray.[1][2]
