Dante Bartolomeo
Danté Bartolomeo is the Connecticut Commissioner of Labor. Bartolomeo assumed office in 2022. Bartolomeo's term ended on March 1, 2026.
On June 17, 2021, Gov. Ned Lamont (D) announced his intentions to nominate Bartolomeo to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Kurt Westby. The Connecticut General Assembly confirmed Bartolomeo in March 2022.[1][2]
Bartolomeo was also Democratic member of the Connecticut State Senate, representing District 13 from 2013 to 2017.[3][4]
Biography
Danté Bartolomeo earned a B.A. in psychology from Colby College in 1991. Bartolomeo's career experience includes working as the deputy commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Labor and the labor director of Ned Lamont for Governor.[5]

Len Suzio defeated incumbent Dante Bartolomeo in the Connecticut State Senate District 13 general election.[6]

Elections for the Connecticut State Senate consisted of a primary election on August 12, 2014, and a general election on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 10, 2014. Incumbent Dante Bartolomeo was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Len Suzio was unopposed in the Republican primary. Bartolomeo defeated Suzio in the general election.[7][8]

Bartolomeo ran in the 2012 election for Connecticut State Senate District 13. Bartolomeo ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on August 14, 2012. She defeated incumbent Len Suzio (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[3][9][10]
