|- Affordable Healthcare Protecting access to quality and affordable healthcare is essential to ensuring that all families have what they need to be successful. In a rural county, like Wilson County, access to healthcare is a top priority. Often times, these are the places that are most at-risk to losing quality healthcare options. I am running to reverse that trend and to ensure that quality healthcare is attainable for all.
- Education Education is a top priority for me because quality education is a responsibility that we have to our children. At a time when public education is being attacked by profit motivated actors, I believe that we need to invest in our children by supporting our qualified educators, expanding pre-K access and supporting community-based schools. As a product of Wilson County Schools, I know the power of a good, public education.
- Economic Opportunity Expanding economic opportunity is critical for this district. I will fight for quality job opportunities and work to expand small business opportunities. When I speak with students in classrooms, I hear about their dreams and witness their entrepreneurial spirit. We must make sure that those opportunities exist in this district.
We know that children getting the start that they need is the most important thing we can do for their education. I will work to expand pre-K education so that we are investing in our children at an early age.

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
