Danville Alcohol Sales Expansion (March 2010)
There was a Danville Alcohol Sales Expansion measure on the March 2 ballot in Boyle County for voters in the city of Danville.
This measure was approved
- YES 2,508
- NO 1,911[1]
This measure sought to expand the sales of alcohol within the city. Alcohol was only allowed to be sold in restaurants that could seat over 100 people, but because this measure passed there is no limit of seating and convenience stores will also be able to sell alcohol. It was hoped that the expansion of alcohol sales will help the city with further taxes, but city officials cite underlying costs, such as DUIs.[2]
