I have spent decades committed to improving the lives of families in Western New York. In addition to being a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner for nearly 30 years, I founded a small business in East Aurora 10 years ago: Marriage and Family Therapy of WNY. Before that, I worked for over a decade in the Kaleida Health Care System.

Some of my accomplishments even before holding elected office include partnering with Senator and now Congressman Tim Kennedy to pass a law to improve access to mental health and substance use disorder care in New York, and securing $85,000 in grant funding for our community to improve mental health service delivery for children.

Currently, I am Vice-Chair of The Children's Guild Foundation, as well as its Grants Committee Co-Chair. I am also a Board Member and Fundraising Advisory Board Co-Chair for PeacePrints of WNY. Over the past 10 years, I have been a board member of Home Space, Inc, Rural Outreach Center, the Buffalo Chapter of National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and the Lothlorien Therapeutic Riding Center. Finally, I am the mother of two amazing young adults (Sophie, age 24, and Adam, age 20), and a former Girl Scout Cookie Mom.
  • This election is not about Democrats versus Republicans. It is about attending to the long-neglected needs of our district. It is about our families' physical and mental health. It is about farmers having a legacy. It is about small business owners being able to keep their doors open. It is about our children being able to access the internet to get their schoolwork done.
  • As a marriage therapist, I have spend my career listening, building bridges, tolerating conflict, and translating diverse points of view to achieve understanding and compromise. I will bring these skills to Albany to bring resources, respect, and attention to our rural communities.
  • I come to this campaign wanting to hear from residents about what they feel the community's needs are.
Rural poverty, access to mental and physical health care, access to internet, access to transportation, families' ability to prosper.
An ability to listen and a true drive to serve the community
Listening to the needs of constituents, and creatively working to get those needs met.
No. Common sense, an ability to listen and to advocate, a willingness to set ego aside for the betterment of the community are what is needed.
It is crucial to build relationships with other legislators in order to get anything done.
Eleanor's Legacy, several democratic town committees
