Darius Brown
Darius Brown (Democratic Party) is a member of the Delaware State Senate, representing District 2. He assumed office on November 7, 2018. His current term ends on November 7, 2028.
Brown (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Delaware State Senate to represent District 2. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Representative Brown was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware and attended Howard High School. He subsequently earned a paralegal certificate from Delaware Technical & Community College and a degree in political science with Delaware State University. Early in his career, Brown served as a community activist with Delaware ACORN and served as an aide in the Delaware Assembly with State Senator Margaret Rose Henry. He later served as a project assistant with United States Senator Joe Biden.[1]

Noteworthy events
Removed as committee chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee (2021)
On May 16, 2021, Brown was charged with offensive touching and disorderly conduct following an altercation. Brown was then removed as chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee by President Pro Temp David Sokola (D) on May 20, 2021.[3]
On January 6, 2022, Brown was found not guilty of the charges.[4]
