Darrel Perry
Darrel R. Perry was a judge on the Idaho Court of Appeals. He was appointed to this position in July of 1993 and was retained by voters in 1994, 2000, and 2006. He served four terms as Chief Judge.[1] His current term would expire in January 2013, however, Judge Perry retired effective September 30, 2009.[2] He is serving as a senior judge.[3]
Education
Judge Perry graduated from the University of Idaho in 1976 with a B.A. in political science and a B.S. in economics. He went on to receive his J.D. degree from the University of Idaho College of Law in 1979.[1]
Career
After graduating from law school, Judge Perry joined the law firm Knowlton and Miles. He also taught at the Lewis-Clark State College. On January 1, 1982, he was appointed a magistrate judge for Nez Perce County. He held this position until his appointment to the Court of Appeals in 1993.[1]
Awards
In 2009 Judge Perry received the Kramer Award from the Idaho Judiciary.[4]
