The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 7, 2014. Darrell Turner was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Gerald Dial defeated Tim Sprayberry in the Republican primary.[1][2][3][4] Dial then defeated Turner and Bill Fuller (I) in the general election on November 4, 2014.[5]
