Darren Roy was a 2014 candidate for the 34th Judicial District in Louisiana.[1]

Roy ran for election to the 34th Judicial District.
Primary: He was successful in the primary on November 4, 2014, receiving 32.5 percent of the vote. He competed against Kim Cooper Jones and Gregory Noto.
General: He was defeated in the general election on December 6, 2014, after receiving 43.9 percent of the vote. He competed against Kim Cooper Jones.

Education
Roy received a bachelor's degree in business from Louisiana State University in 1989 and a J.D. degree from the Loyola University New Orleans School of Law in 1993.[4]
Career
Roy is a prosecutor at the St. Bernard District Attorney’s Office. He began there in 1994. He has also been an instructor of paralegal classes at Nunez Community College.[4]
