Darryl Hurst (Democratic Party) is a member of the Baton Rouge Metro Council in Louisiana, representing District 5. Hurst assumed office on January 12, 2022. Hurst's current term ends on December 31, 2028.
Hurst (Democratic Party) won re-election to the Baton Rouge Metro Council to represent District 5 in Louisiana outright in the primary on November 5, 2024, after the general election was canceled.
On January 12, 2022, the Baton Rouge Metro Council appointed Hurst to a temporary position on the council to fill the vacant District 5 seat left by Erika Green (D). [1]
