Darryl Lavery
Darryl Lavery was a judge of the Kentucky 30th Circuit Court 2nd Division. He left office in 2019.
Lavery ran for re-election for judge of the Kentucky 30th Circuit Court 2nd Division. He lost in the general election on November 6, 2018.
Biography
Lavery earned his bachelor's degree from the Catholic University of America. He later received his J.D. from Indiana University. Lavery was a partner at Boehl Stopher & Graves at the time of his circuit court appointment.[1]

Selection method

Judges of the Kentucky Circuit Courts are elected to eight-year terms in nonpartisan elections. They must run for re-election if they wish to serve subsequent terms.[2]
The chief judge is selected by his or her peers and serves a two-year term.[2]
Qualifications
In order to serve on this court, a judge must be:[2]
- a U.S. citizen;
- a resident of the represented district for at least two years; and
- licensed to practice law for at least eight years.
