Daryl Parks is a father, small businessman, attorney, and champion for hard-working families in North Florida. Raised by a single mother and grandmother who instilled in him the values of hard work and community support, Daryl became the first in his family to graduate from college and went on to earn his law degree from Florida State University School of Law. With a commitment to advocating for the rights and prosperity of everyday Floridians, Daryl has spent over 25 years as a civil rights attorney.. Now running for the Florida Senate, he vows to represent the interests of North Florida families, combating political elites who prioritize their own agendas over the needs of the people. Daryl pledges to crack down on price gouging, prioritize education funding, and defend fundamental freedoms and reproductive rights.
  • As your State Senator, I will address the illegal and immoral price gouging by corporate elites and insurance companies. Floridians are being priced out of their homes with no relief, and we need common sense solutions to increase competition, lower rates, and ease the burden on our people. North Floridians shouldn’t have to choose between putting food on the table or keeping a roof over their heads.
  • I am committed to strengthening our public schools. My opponent pushed through legislation that drained over $90 million from North Florida’s public schools, redirecting that money to corporate-run schools with little accountability. These actions have severely impacted local schools, leading to budget shortfalls, potential closures, and underfunded classrooms. I believe every child deserves a high-quality, safe, and honest education, and I will work to restore funding to our neighborhood schools. I also oppose extreme measures like book bans and will advocate for parents and teachers to be the decision-makers in their children’s education.
  • I believe in protecting fundamental freedoms for all Floridians, including the right to make private health care decisions without government interference. Extreme politicians in Florida have launched aggressive attacks on reproductive rights, threatening the ability of individuals to access safe and legal abortion care. In the Florida Senate, I will fight to restore these essential rights and ensure that families, in consultation with their doctors, have the freedom to make the best decisions for their health and future—without interference from the government. It's time to keep politicians out of our personal, private medical decisions.
John Marks, W.E.B Du Bois, and Thurgood Marshall.
My faith has always taught me to advocate for the least of thee. It was the guiding principle that inspired me to become an attorney, and what guides me today in my run for State Senate.
My life and professional experiences have prepared me well for this position. I grew up experiencing what families across North Florida are going through today as they struggle with rising housing and insurance costs, less funding for our public schools and healthcare that cost far too much. I was raised by my mother and grandmother who taught me at an early age that hard work makes anything possible. Hardwork is how I became the first in my family to attend college and, then, a successful small businessman and civil rights attorney. The issues North Florida families are facing are not new to me. That's why I know how important it is for us to have real, capable leadership in the Capitol speaking up for North Floridians. In the courtroom, I’ve fought and won against powerful interests who defrauded and abused everyday Floridians. When the message we get out of Corey Simon and his big shot friends is that an imaginary culture war is more important than money in our pockets, our basic freedoms, funded schools, affordable healthcare, then, we know a fraud is being perpetrated against Floridians. I’m a fighter who knows how to win and I’m ready to get to work fighting back against the rigged system that our so-called state leaders have set up to benefit the powerful and make it much harder for everyday people to get ahead.
