I am a small business owner, an author of 6 published books and Colorado native. I have been self employed for 17 years and know the value of hard and how to think for yourself. I have never held actual political office , but instead a real life view of how policies affect, families, employers like myself and my employees. Simply creating jobs is not enough if they are low paying or seasonal. As a small time actor I would love to help bring more film industry to Colorado and bring the benefits that come with it.
  • I have ran a successful business for almost 20 years.
  • I am a commonfolk grass roots candidiate
  • I will listen to the needs of those in my district
I want to improve the economy for all areas and all people of different levels. I want a criminal justice reform. I want to reduce homeless populations though drug/alcohol rehab, job training, and life skills training. I want clean air, better highways, smooth roads and make Colorado a place that is small business friendly, prosperous, yet still affordable to live.
I would want someone whose been at many stages in life. Seen many different people and worked in different industries. I feel that life diversity is the key to successful legislators. Someone whose only been an employee has a tainted view of what struggles employers go through and visa versa.
Anyone elected to office must protect the constitution, remember they are a public servant and listen to the needs of the district they represent. they must vote with the idea of what's best for their state and not their own personal agenda.
We'll see when I get there.
I was 14 and worked at my parents restaurant till age 18
My own books of course. Because I wrote them
Some should have, but we also need people like me who have been on the front lines of the world.
Affordable housing, homelessness, roads and highways, criminal justice reform, heathcare.
Anytime a relationship between The Executive branch and legislative branch can be civil is about the best you can hope for. We may have to agree to disagree but still working for a common goal.
Like any job I feel it's best if me and the other legislators are not best friends. That way when it comes time to vote on a bill I can vote how i feel is best and not what will keep me popular at work.
