Bell ran in the 2012 election for Oklahoma Senate District 11. Bell ran unopposed in the Republican primary on June 26. He was defeated by Jabar Shumate in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2][3][4]

Bell is a fiscal and social conservative who supports school choice and increased voucher programs. He states that he does not support same-sex marriage.[5]
