Dave Carlson was a judge of the Twelfth Judicial Circuit Court First Subcircuit in Illinois. He was appointed to the court in August 2013 as an associate judge.[1] He was then elected as circuit court judge in November 2014.[2]

Primary: He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on March 18, 2014.
General: He defeated Diane M. Para in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 58.6 percent of the vote. [2][3]
