Dave Cork
Dave Cork was a 2016 Libertarian candidate for District 70 of the Iowa House of Representatives.
Biography
Dave Cork has been a resident of Iowa since the age of twelve. He served in the Marine Corps in Operation Earnest Will and Desert Shield/Storm. Cork identified some of his platforms as the following: "[implementing] term limits, restricting Eminent Domain abuse, eliminating Civil Asset Forfeiture, outlawing speed cameras, and legalizing marijuana." In an email to Ballotpedia, Cork stated that he is not accepting campaign contributions, because of his belief that money corrupts the political process.[1]

Elections for the Iowa House of Representatives took place in 2016. The primary election took place on June 7, 2016, and the general election was held on November 8, 2016. The candidate filing deadline was March 18, 2016.
Incumbent Todd Taylor defeated Steven Van Fleet and Dave Cork in the Iowa House of Representatives District 70 general election.[2][3]
