Dave Cummings
Dave Cummings (Republican Party) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent Florida's 18th Congressional District. He lost in the Republican primary on August 28, 2018.
Biography
Cummings earned his bachelor's degree in communications and government administration from Liberty University and his master's degree in homeland security and intelligence studies from American Military University. Cummings has extensive military education and over 2,000 hours of law enforcement education. He is an AMU honors graduate and held an internship as a news affiliate special projects reporter. His professional experience includes working as a real estate investor, a partner in a catastrophe response insurance adjustment team, and a high school teacher. Cummings has also served as a special investigator for the U.S. Federal Investigative Services Division of the Office of Personnel Management (2010-2013), in the banking industry (2004-2010), as a law enforcement officer and security specialist (1998-2003), and in the United States military (1996-2002). Cummings is associated with Epsilon Pi Phi National Honor Society, the Golden Key International Honor Society, and Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society.[1]
